My Limerick Poem.

WALT: write a limerick poem.

Line 1,2 and 5 rhyme. line 3 and 4 rhyme

once was a boy named Angus

Who wanted to ride on the bus.                  

 

He ran to the stop,

He fell with a flop.

Witch ended up being such a fuss.

My First Haiku Poem

WALT: write a haiku poem. It is a poem based on syllables and follows a pattern of 5-7-5.  

5-My name is Angus.

7-My birthday is in July.

5-I like among us.

hybrid animal description

 WALT: write an accurate description of two animals merged into one. 

This animal has four fins, one for his tail, two of them for his tummy and one for his back. My animal has very sharp teeth and the first half of my animal is also the fastest creature living in the water. It can go upto 35 miles an hour in the ocean.  

The second half of my animal has stripes that are black with orange stripes about 1 to 2 cm long. It has venom in its little tentacles that can get you very sick from. If it injects a lot of venom into you, you need to go to the Hospital. You can barely see the green venom running through the body.

 

my story about a toucan

Hi my name is Angus i have done a toucan, Toucans eat orange figs and guavas. they live in rain forest in south america.

They are a flying bird they are renown for their large colourful bills, at 8 inches (20 cm) they have the longest bill of any bird in the world. In relation to their body size 25 in (63.5 cm). Despite its size, the toucan's bill is very light as it is made of keratin (like human hair) in a honeycomb-like structure.Toucans can be loud and aggressive, particularly if untamed. Tame birds that are not given sufficient attention may also become very aggressive toward their keepers.

The toucan’s beak is serrated like a knife, to tear apart its food. The toucan's bill accounts for almost half its length. Toucan’s have a feather-like tongue that help flick food down their throats. The toco toucan is the largest species of toucan.

A moment in time in the swimming pool

WALT:  Use punctuation correctly and write in first person 

I was so exited about going to my favourite swimming  pool in the world. When I got there my heart was beating as fast as a super car. I leaped into the pools and swam to the hydro slide with my special wristband. When I was there I lined up in the line. When it was my turn I got my floaty. I ran up the stairs hoping I wouldn't trip and wouldn't hurt myself. The lucky thing was I didn't trip! I got to the top of the building. I got in my floaty and as soon as the  light went green I zoomed down the slide. I saw nothing but darkness! I had a big smile on my face I was going backwards so I couldn't see the light but when I got out I could smell pies from the cafe. I could touch the cold water. My hands were getting wrinkly and I hate that so I got out. My day was the best day ever!

A day in a life of a bottle nose dolphin

Walt write in first person.  

It was an early morning and the sun went up, up, up, into the sky. It was a fantastic sunrise. I flipped and spun  in the sky like a balloon. If anything attacked me in the water I knew I'd be safe be in a group full of other dolphins. There are about 10-15 dolphins in my group called a pod. I am pretty fast at swimming and if it's a mako shark, I have to swim fast!! Because mako sharks can go 35 miles an hour.  I can go 3 to 7 miles an hour so a do have to go fast. But there's no mako shark here now. Phew! It's just my pod. Now I should go on with my day and look for some fish to eat.  

Duffy Day at NBC

 I chose to be an All Black. I chose it because I want to be an All Black when I´m older. I am exited today because it is Duffy Day.

Angus Phone battery argument

I strongly believe that battery percentage should not be in the world. It can be unsafe, your phone always goes flat and you always lose your charger cord.

Firstly, battery percentage should not be in the world because it is so annoying to people and unsafe. If you were getting chased by a bad and dangerous person and tried to ring someone and your phone was dead you would be unable to get help. Also, if you get lost you can't call anyone for help if your phone is dead. 

Secondly, it hurts to see your battery on one percent. Because it takes ages to find your charger and if you have to go out you can’t because you don't have a charger.

Finally,  you lose your charger a lot. It is sooo annoying when you don't have a charger and you have to waste your money on a new charger (2 mins later) you find your old charger. 

angus argument on video games

I strongly believe kids should be allowed to play video games because they are fun. It is great for a wet day activity. Some people get really good at video games and they make lots of money. They are also good because you can talk to your friends. 

Firstly video games are fun and keep you motivated. My favorite game is Spiderman on my PS4 because you can knock out people and swing onto buildings. 

Secondly, some people are sooo good at video games such as Fortnite that they make lots of money. Making money is good because you can have a nice house and car and gaming setup. And most important is a good life.

Lastly, it's good to play games because it's entertaining to life because its power can make you happy. I enjoy talking to my friends. Over the lockdown I talked to my cousin lots because I couldn't see him. 

In conclusion, video games are fun and keep you motivated, people make loooots of money and it's good to talk to your friends.

Shrek Character Description

WALT: Write a character description

Shrek is a green dude that loves being alone and hates being with someone. Shrek has shoes  that are as big as a rabbit and as black as a pitch black night. Shrek is as fast as a hawk wooshing through the air. Shrek´s clothes are as  ragged as a worn out leaf.  Shrek is as green as a green stone. Shrek´s pants are as colourful as a pie getting splattered. He gets into lots of trouble because hes  a big green ogre. I like Shrek because hes funny at times. and deep deep down he´s as kind as a little puppy. I don´t like Shrek because he´s very mean on the outside and his friend Donkey gets yelled at almost every day.

Note from Mum; I was trying to help Angus work out the word problem math and they way he learns it is quite different from the way I learnt it so it was a bit tricky. I then got a phone call and when I came back Angus had figured out how to use the calculator so that defeated the purpose a bit!  :) X Debs

Here are the ways that I could show compassion.

walks on the beach

Some days i go for walks with my mum

and today i went to the beach. I found

a stick and started drawing a stick man. Then

i started throwing it in front of me and running back to get it again and again

It was very very fun.

This is me balancing a stick on  my head all the way to the pier it was a challenge. The challenge was i had to  go to the pier and touch the pier to take the stick off. and i had six lives to get to the pier.

Anzac Day

Anzac day is on the 25 of April evry yaer.

 Anzac stands for Australia and New Zealand army corps.

on the 25 of april we rememder the day the solders landid at Gallipoli.

My mum and dad went to Gallipoli. it is in Turkey my mum said it was a sad plase to go. 

1000s lost ther lives

trying to fighting the terki solders.

In new zaeland we rememder the solders earley in the morning. solders from eny war martch in a perade. we buy poppeys to make monaey for old solders. this morning we made poppys to hang on are fense. 

the poppys are important. they come from a pouim cald in flanders felds. the poppys stil grow even wen wars come.

this is the biggest spider ive ever seen in my life.

i went for a work during lokedown and went on a path
