Narrative

 W.A.L.T Write a narrative 

 I went on an adventure to the forest. He said to his 'Mum, can I go to the forest to do something?’ mum says sure but don't get lost. Me walks out his front door and walks to the forest and finally gets there “well, time to find something to do” I walk deeper and deeper into the forest going in random directions looking around, he's lost. He called out “ is anybody there?” no one responds except for birds flying over him. with a gust of wind he fell over in a powerful blast falling into a pit. He looked around saying in his head where am and what is this place? He looked behind him, a door he said he walks in to the door seeing other plants than before walking around trying to find where i am i look around and see a footprint in the mud and went the direction the footprints…. I didn’t know who they would belong to...

planet writing

 Much of the planet is swimming in discarded plastic, which is harming animals and possibly human health. Can it be cleaned up?

Plastic items have become one of the worst environmental problems in the world as it rapidly becomes bigger and bigger because our planet means a

lot to us and if this planet called earth goes to waste it will be a waste land. 

How did this happen? So, this problem has made its way up on the leader board after world war two. As this issue grows bigger and bigger it has become worse and worse because of the land and the people who still make plastic bags. We have not been taking care of the bags we hold in our hands for a long time and not reusing them.

How does plastic move around the world? People from different countries have not been using their plastic bags over and over. What I'm saying is that people just use their plastic bags once and then throw them away like nothing is going to happen. It also moves around the world travelling by wind when no one picks them up. And also travels around the world by the ocean and wind by floating around and also no one picking them up.

How does this affect Wildlife? This problem affects wildlife because lots of fish or sharks think that they might be jelly fish and then attempt to eat them and chokes one of them or gets sick from them. That problem is very bad because we need fish for decoration for our seas.

In conclusion,  to stop this problem in our world.

 on the first week of school my class went to African drumming they let the children have a go at there drumming it was really fun. We had to go as fast as we can with the drums.

These things are basically supposed to be bad things. There are no good things in this slot. Do not doing any of this because we are killing our earth by cutting down trees.

NBC duck

 after a long fight with brolly the bad guy who always litters he leved up an gained a new attack called delete. It holds a power that can delete all the rubbish in the world. He has not used his power yet until there is way more in the world. Trust me, a lot of people ask him to use his power. Also something else he only gets to use it once. So that is why he has not used it, and a reminder NEVER litter.

On Friday 21th of October room rua went to the dump. We all got to hold a worm each(i did not)also we got loads of worms from a bucket and put them in there home.  We learnt to  put what rubbish to put in  colour bins. My favourite part was learning about the worms.

if you were visiting Christchurch for a day I think you should go to New Brighton because there are lots of cool things to do. You could go to the pier to go fishing. i went on Saturday with my dad and the one i caught in the picture is a yellow-eyed mullet. after you have been fishing you could go for a surf at the beach then go to the hot pools to warm up. After this you could have a burger at the burger joint in Brighton its my favourite burger in Christchurch. once you have had your dinner you could go to the ice-cream shop

when i go camping

 The difference between camping in Antarctica and in Kaikoura is Antarctica has a lot of snow and Kaikoura doesn't have snow a lot. When i go camping i normally go in a caravan not in a tent. There are more penguins Antarctica than in Kaikoura ether.  Normally i go camping in summer so i don't freeze but i would if i went camping in Antarctica. I also go swimming i wouldn't go swimming in Antarctica because there are dangerous animals in the water and it is freezing. I always go out in the boat but there is to much ice in Antarctica

I love my cat Milo. He is as cuddly as a koala bear. He can hide on our blanket like he is camouflage and one day my mum sat on him accidentally.  His teeth are as sharp as a pointy rock stabbing you in the foot. i would die if anything happend to my cat. his fur is softer than a babys blanket. milo is as stealthy as a lion when he goes hunting. My cat catches checky lizards! i saved one and it bit me! so much for saving it!

 Last night i made ratatouille for dinner. first i chopped up eggplant, then chopped up other veges. then i put it in the bowl over fire and stirred it around with oil. i put in the pasta sauce and then i put pasta in hot boiling water. i kept tasting it and added what i think it needed. it needed salt and parsely from our garden. i stirred it. then i put it in a bowl and let it cool down. it was yum! my family all liked my cooking. i liked cooking.

My Car Part Work

 

   Me and my dad have been working on some car parts in lockdown, i have worked on a turbo, A/C compressor it was really fun working on this with my dad. Its really helpful that i can learn about cars with him, he knows a lot because he works at a cranford st garage.you can find his wotkshop on google maps if your car needs a upgrade

Emma twigg

 

Emma Twigg came to my school today with her gold medal to show us and say a speech. The speech was about how she became an Olympic champion, her gold medal was very very heavy. I also got a picture with her and the kapahaka team did a haka. I was also in the haka we did it for Emma Twigg because of how hard she worked. Here are some photos

Emma Twigg won a gold medal in Tokyo 2020

last friday. 

 Emma twigg has won for the first time in history it is a dream come true for her fans, and Angus never thought a kid next door would be the nephew to Emma. 

Emma Twigg won the race for the first time. I hope she is proud of herself for the effort she put in for the race. We have faith in Emma for the next Olympics.People had smiles on their faces when she won. 

"I can't believe it. Honestly, crossing the line it was disbelief,"

Emma started rowing in 2001, within two years she represented New Zealand.

In conclusion… We all hope that Emma Twigg will win once again. Hopefully she trains for the next olympics, single scull womens.

The Boy With Wings

 At my school we had a show in are school hall the main characters name was Jack and his great grandma said Find the boy with wings and you will find your treasure¨ and so he was on his journey to find the boy with wings, and so he did and then he got locked up because the queen didn't understand what Jack said. So then the person waking Jack said i had a wired dream last night, there was a boy with a big rock from his home that had treasure under it, and Jack thought, ¨that is my treasure!!!¨ Then he ran back home to lift up his rock, and after a big journey he came back to lift up his rock to find..... water, water started sprouting out from under his rock at home, then got a bucket to get all the water from under his rock and then shared the water through out his apple trees that his great grandmother planted and then all of the trees grew glowing ( literally glowing) apples, the end. here are some pictures.

My class has been working on giving advice about maths. Here I am teaching people to solve times two facts from doubling. 

Recount refugee walk

 W.A.L.T  write a brief recount  

On Monday 10th May the senior syndicate went to the red zone. My favourite part was that I got to get some rice when I was hungry. We had to hide when Mr Gray blew the whistle. Then we had to stay there until it was clear to go. We had to go over the Pages Road bridge to get to the red zone. There were 4 activities one was when we had to make tents out of tarps and another one is we had to run away and hide when the teacher blew their whistle. After this experience I don´t think I would like to be a refugee.

We looked at time capsules, interviewed ms Daines (the principal), and went around the school to take notes. I enjoyed this because I liked being outside and walking around!

Hats

 W.A.L.T use thinking skills,

My class has been using thinking hats about a story called Jesus rose from the dead. And there are colours of hats. Green is creativity, White is information, Black is problems, Red is emotions, Yellow is positives, and Blue hat is thinking. My favourite hat was yellow because when Jesus died a few days later he rose from the dead, and my leas favourite was the black hat because people did not believe he was the son of God, and Jesus was forced to die on skull hill.
